Strategy

Corporate Gift Card & Incentive programs typically run all year-round, however the Holiday season is usually the make-or-break time for B2B Gift Cards, just as it is in consumer retail. The DM piece consisted of multiple, dimensional pieces including a personalized desk calendar and other items, printed with unique pins. Recipients were encouraged to visit a special landing site and enter their unique pin number, in order to receive a unique offer just for them, as well as 3D animated advent calendar. Each day during the Holidays, recipients were encouraged to come back to the landing site and 'open' the next day's advent calendar window.


Results

SDMG has been producing Holiday direct mail pieces for Hbc Gift Cards for the last five years and every year the goal is to exceed the results of the last. The 2009 Holiday DM piece just happened to launch in the midst of one of the worst economic clients in the century. However, despite this obvious strike against it, the results still proved even better than our year-over-year results from previous years. In keeping with our other Hbc Gift Cards work for high-value customers, the piece received double-digit response rates and was responsible for a large number of sales and an exemplary ROI.
