Strategy

Tourism Saskatchewan has been very successful at forging into new media in a variety of forms, with many 'firsts' in web, variable video, live on-line chat and host of other innovations. The evolution into the mobile world was a natural extension. SDMG worked with Tourism Saskatchewan to create a Mobile Guide, a mobile site tied directly to the traditional print guide by use of unique, coded urls for each destination.


Results

The early results have been very promising. The guide is currently available for iPhone, Blackberry and a host of WAP-based devices, with more specific version to come. Plans also call for extension in specific applications for iPhone, Blackberry and Android in the near future.
